Jan 17,  · referencing Minimum Wage Rock & Roll, LP, Album, AB This Album is mis-catagerized. It is a comedy/novelty record which is different than other recording by the same Bus Boys group. The songs are mostly Rock&Roll straight forward, but clearly the entire album is a fun sarcastic joke combined with a loving tribute to the Rock & Roll genre/5(69).

Jul 12,  · If you want danceable rock, with a tongue in cheek the Bus Boys run the table. This is why they got a song in Ghostbuster and a spot (the band at Vromans') in 48hrs. Once was them open for the Beach Boys in Orange County CA, they did "KKK," and got the crowd dancing by the end of the set. That was the 80's. I do miss the Bus Boys!/5(25).

Meanwhile, "Minimum Wage" and "D-Day" faced universal anxieties with honesty and bitter humor, and the band plays with fire and enthusiasm throughout. Not exactly up there with Bad Brains, Minimum Wage Rock & Roll is still smart and enthusiastic rock & roll that's unafraid to take chances; too bad the BusBoys never managed another album this.

Minimum Wage Lyrics: I have to get up, get to the job / I have to put my work clothes on / I work in the kitchen, from 8 ‘til 10 / Go home for a minute just to do it again / How could I find.

Nevertheless, 'Minimum Wage' is a very, very good album. The first track is a dirty, rock n' roll guitar-led groove. A keyboard is added, slightly new wave and all 80's in style. And the vocals come on, full of energy and a sense of honest emotion.

Jul 12,  · Kihntinued is a studio album by Greg Kihn and the fourth album to be released as The Greg Kihn Band. It was the final album to feature long-time guitarist Dave Carpender. Kihntinued saw a change in musical style for the group, leaning more towards softer rock and pop songs.5/5(2).

Play that at a klan rally - ROFL. "Johnny Sold Out" is a great tibute to the styles of Chuck Berry and is a great 50's style R&R song with some 80's punch. There in not one bad track on this album. This should be another must in anybody's collection for Rock and Roll History.
